The first stop of Kristin Boese's KB4girls 2010 world tour kiteboarding clinic was held in Augusta from the 8 to the 10 of January 2010.
Almost 30 girls from Australia and overseas attended the clinic, Kim Lema was one of them. The first day of the clinic, the wind was strong enough for the girls to have an afternoon freestyle session in Augusta's river mouth.
The level of the girls was very diverse, and some of the girls were impressively good. That's one of the good things of these clinics, no matter your kitesurfing level, you can enjoy riding with other girls, in order to meet new people and learn new tricks!
On the second day, Kristin made a demo in front of the girls, taking each move step by step. It was a very interesting moment to see all the jumps slowly and smoothly done and explained by Kristin. Then, the girls had to try and work on their moves!
The wind was a bit gusty on this second day but most of the girls still managed to go out and have fun!
The third day was the less windy day, but the 11m prima donna 3 did a great job on this gusty and low wind conditions. Kim managed to land new tricks and was practicing riding blind. Then the clinic was officially over but the wind made some of the girls staying for an extra session for a 4th day.
Kristin was still here, giving useful tips and taking pictures.
The clinic was a very motivating experience for Kim, first because meeting Kristin and getting advices from her were great, but also thanks to the other girls that gave Kim inspiration to learn new tricks they could land!
